Appointment & Cancellation Policy

Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled before travel to the appointment begins without a travel charge. Once travel has begun, the agreed-upon travel fee is due, even if the notarization cannot be completed.

If a new appointment or additional trip is required, a new travel fee will be agreed upon before the appointment.

Refund Policy

Fees for completed services are nonrefundable. If a notarization is not completed, the notarial fee will not be charged. Fees for services already performed, including travel, printing, scanning, witness coordination, courier services, or other completed work, are nonrefundable.

If an error is made by Bright Path Notary Services, the affected service will be corrected promptly at no additional service charge.

Michigan Compiled Laws § 55.285(7). It provides that a Michigan notary may charge no more than $10 for a notarial act and that a separate travel fee may be agreed upon before the notary begins traveling. 

Apostille & Authentication Services

Apostille and authentication service fees are based on the services requested and work performed. Once processing has begun, service fees for work already completed are nonrefundable. Government fees, document retrieval fees, certified-copy fees, courier charges, shipping costs, and other third-party expenses are nonrefundable once incurred.

Bright Path Notary Services facilitates the apostille and authentication process but cannot guarantee processing times or acceptance by government agencies or receiving authorities.

Corrections & Service Limitations.

If Bright Path Notary Services makes an error in a notarial certificate, the affected service will be corrected or re-performed promptly at no additional service charge.
