All signers will need an unexpired government issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport. Contact Bright Path before your appointment if you have questions about identification requirements.

Yes. Bright Path provides mobile appointments at homes, businesses, hospitals, assisted-living communities, and other agreed-upon locations.

Witnesses may be available upon request for an additional fee. Please let Bright Path know when scheduling if your document requires witnesses so arrangements can be discussed in advance.

Michigan notarial acts are $10 per notarization. A separate mobile/travel fee may apply based on the appointment location and travel distance and will be disclosed and agreed upon before travel begins.

You may need an apostille if a document issued or notarized in the United States will be used in another country. The organization or authority receiving your document should tell you whether an apostille or another form of authentication is required. Requirements depend on the destination country and document type.

Yes. Bright Path provides mobile notary services at hospitals, assisted-living communities, nursing facilities, rehabilitation facilities, and other care settings. The signer must be willing and able to communicate their wishes at the time of notarization.

Please have your document and acceptable identification ready for the appointment. Do not sign documents requiring notarization beforehand unless instructed to do so. If witnesses are required, please let Bright Path know when scheduling.
